As a New England native who grew up in Maine, attended Northeastern University in Boston, and spent my college summers in Gloucester, Massachusetts, I've always had a love for the sea.  Maybe it's in my name, but I've always been drawn to the water.  My heart beats for all things coastal & nautical.  I currently reside in Maine with my husband, Nick, our four children and our dog, Stella.  There is a story to the name Emmett & Ellie.  We lost our son Emmett at 20 weeks pregnant, as he was stillborn.  The grief of this loss ultimately brought me to Jesus.  Our daughter, Elliana (Ellie), whose name means, "God has answered"  was our rainbow baby and quite literally an answered prayer.  There is so much more depth and detail to this story, but that's for another time.

i am a lover of all things stationery. i suppose it all began as a child, watching my dad, who began as a letter carrier for the post office, and ultimately became post master of my hometown. his commitment to people, teaching me about letters, postage & how to serve others & always know that the mail must go through! there's just something about opening up a hand-addressed envelope, calligraphy style, complete with a stamped wax seal!
